"The Colours of Blues" by Papasean Johnson (Blues Artist from Canada)

RadioIndy is pleased to present Papasean Johnson with a GrIndie Award for their CD "The Colours of Blues"

"The Colours of Blues" by Papasean Johnson is a swinging bar room blues album. Papasean's voice definitely has that "Old Soul" blues quality and is complemented well by his crafty guitar work and polished tone. Can't help but think of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan while listening to this one. Highlights are "Another Day," which rolls nicely, has some clever changes and features some slick steel guitar work."Sometimes I Wonder" takes you right down to the swamp with twangy rolling guitar and throaty vocals. "Jezebel" is a foot tapper with a tight little drum beat and a cool riff. If you like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Johnson or Eric Clapton give this CD a try.
