"Rushing to the Wedding" features the skillful compositions of Eduardo Rocha, with the wondrous contribution of Judy Simonds on the classical guitar. The CD is filled with many elements of latin american rhythms, as well as Reggae, Jazz, and Classical, with a modern flair. Judy is a superior and well-balanced guitarist who has a feel for mood and tone. Eduardo's compositions are very interesting and innovative. The recording quality and production nicely provide a crystal clear recording that allows the fantastic guitar work to cut through the tracks nicely. "In the Sunken Garden" leads things off and sets the table nicely with a jazz/lounge feel and memorable guitar work. Other highlights are "Memories of Old Spain," a flamenco number (appropriately enough) and "Giving Joy to the Streets," a beautiful classical piece. If you enjoy beautiful classical guitar work with a latin flavor, you'll enjoy this CD.
